Sometimes days suck. Nothing is going your way no matter how positive you are trying to be. When life does this to us it is soo draining. But it is our job to overcome such circumstances and move forward with a bright outlook. Read on for tips on how to regroup and accomplish again:
Your day sucked but it doesn't mean you suck. We tend to be too hard on ourselves when expectations are high. This behavior does nothing but cut us down and make us miserable for no reason. If you find yourself feeling this way, SNAP OUT OF IT. It's not going to help you get any further and it certainly won't make you feel better. You deserve to treat yourself better than that.
Go for a walk or a nice jog. For the people who hate to workout, this is for you! Sweating allows for the release of endorphins which in turn make you happy. This is why after you workout you feel refreshed and new.
Go volunteer at a local charity. If you don't have the time today to do it, plan for it! Volunteering makes us better human beings and it makes us happy. Helping others in need is always a good way to end your day. If the rest of your day is bad, at least you can say you helped someone's day be better!
Perform random acts of kindness. Cheers to do-gooders! Doing this will definitely make you feel better and realize that you may not have it as bad as you think you do.
If you have dogs, take them to the dog park! Sometimes life gets busy and we forget to do the little things. Our dogs are always there for us to make us feel better so it's important for them to know how much we love them back. Get outside and get your dog excited! They will be so grateful when you finally take them out.
Call a family member. When was the last time you talked to your grandma? Parents? Close family members? Take the time tonight to make that phone call. Ask them how their day was. Confide in them in their struggles and share yours. They will be grateful to know you were thinking about them. We can never be too busy for family and with technology... we have no excuse.
Call your best friend. If you are lucky, you live near your bestie. If that's the case go have some fun with them! If you're like me, give them a phone call. Face-time them and catch up on things. We can't be too busy for our own happiness! Get in touch with them and enjoy the memories they bring.
No matter how bad your day was, remember that it could always be worse. Take the time to get out of that negative mindset and end your day on a good note because YOU HAVE THE POWER TO DO JUST THAT!
